I believe in staying clinically true and still consistent with the work of Dr. Francine Shapiro as well as the new research emerging. I am also proud to share having been trained and working with Kathleen Martin who learned directly from Dr. Shapiro

My work and training is also influenced heavily by structured dissociation theory and ego state therapy ​

I am a Certified EMDR Therapist and Approved EMDR Consultant through EMDRIA, and advance trained in providing supervision and consultations to clinicians - we're a unique bunch!

In my clinical practice, I specialize in trauma, PTSD, depression, and anxiety and am grateful to have a full and busy practice with my ideal clients.

EMDRIA requires 10 hours of consultation by an Approved Consultant in EMDR as part of the foundational training process.

EMDRIA requires 20 hours of consultation by an Approved Consultant in EMDR as part of the certification process but a CIT can contribute towards those hours.

Functions of Consultation (According to EMDRIA Training Standards) include:

• Use of EMDR therapy within a structured treatment plan 

• Application of the standard EMDR Therapy procedural steps 

• Case conceptualization and target selection 

• Client readiness including inclusion, exclusion, and cautionary criteria for EMDR therapy 

• Client safety and effective outcomes using the standard EMDR Therapy procedural steps 

• Integration of EMDR Therapy into therapist’s existing clinical setting 

• Specific application of skills

Consultation is about real cases and not experiences that occur in practicum

This is not the group for you if your focus is more on "certification" than "growth"
